You use this program to create a link between a customer's stock code and a valid SYSPRO stock code held on file. Upon entering the customer's stock code during processing within the SO Entry program, the system automatically extracts the SYSPRO stock code.

Change to Master |
If you are viewing cross reference entries for a sub-account and the invoices for the sub-account are attached to the master account then this displays the customer code/SYSPRO stock code entries for the master account. |
Maintain global interchanges | Applies the stock codes entered to all your customers (e.g. all your customers have a stock code A1 and you want to link this code to your SYSPRO stock code B1). |
Stock code |
If maintaining global interchanges this indicates the SYSPRO stock code that must reference the customer's stock code. |

Refresh Options | Redisplay the items in the AR Customer Stock Code Maintenance list view according to changes made to the selection options. |
Autoload Values | These options enable you to indicate how you want to save the
selections made in this pane. You can choose to set all selections as they were when you last ran the program (i.e. Load Previous Form Values) or save your selections in the pane as your default preferences for all companies, or for the current company only (i.e. Save Form Values as Default or Save Form Values for this Company). If you have saved form values for the company or as the default, then you can remove these settings and restore them to the form's default preference selections. |

Stock code | |
Stock code selection | Indicate the SYSPRO stock codes(s) to display for linking. This is disabled when the Maintain global interchanges option is enabled as the SYSPRO stock code must be entered on the toolbar. |
You use the fields of this editable list view to enter and maintain the details of the customer/SYSPRO stock code links. Only the stock codes selected in the Options pane are displayed.
Field | Description |
---|---|
Customer stock code |
Enter the customer's stock code that must be linked to a SYSPRO stock code. The Customer stock code must be unique. You can link two different customer stock codes to a single SYSPRO stock code, because the customer may have changed stock codes, but could still have both stock codes in existence in different locations. Customer stock codes are saved against sales order lines regardless of whether the SYSPRO stock code or customer stock code is entered. The customer stock codes can also be printed on order documents. |
Stock code |
Indicate a valid SYSPRO stock code to reference the customer's stock code entered. |
Description | This indicates the description defined against the SYSPRO stock code. |
Customer stock code description | Enter the description for the Customer stock code. |
Customer stock code long description |
Enter a long description for the customer stock code. This is typically used for the description of a customized stock code, which can be printed on an invoice. |
You cannot assign a stock code interchange to a customer if the Stock code interchange required option is not enabled for the customer.
The stock code entered during global interchange maintenance cannot be defined as a Kit type S or K if you want to use the item in a blanket sales order and you have enabled the Single level Bill of Materials required sales order setup option.
If you are using master and sub-accounts then you need to define the cross references according to your selection at the Customer stock codes for sub-account setup option.
Value | Description |
---|---|
Only customer | The cross references you require for sales orders for sub-accounts must be defined against each sub-account. |
Only master | All cross references you require for sales orders for sub-accounts must be defined against each master account. The cross references can then be used for the sub-accounts attached to that master account. |
Customer, then master | Cross references you require for sales orders for a sub-account can be defined either against the master or the sub-account. |
