Job Progress Report

You use this program to generate a report of a range of hierarchical jobs across contracts.

Report Options

Field Description
Report type  
Detail Select this to print each head per job number selected, together with the relevant costs (revenue, cost of sales and the resulting margin).
Summary

Select this to print each job number selected and, together with the job number, a summary of the costs in terms of revenue, cost of sales and the resulting margin.

If you select this option then only the totals for each job within the contract range selected, together with the header details are printed.

Print zero value heads

Select this to print heads where the total line value is zero.

This applies when printing a detail report.

Jobs on hold
Field Description
Include Select this to include jobs that are on hold in the report.
Exclude Select this to exclude jobs that are on hold from the report.
Only Select this to generate the report for jobs that are on hold only.
Unconfirmed jobs
Field Description
Include Select this to include unconfirmed jobs in the report.
Exclude Select this to exclude unconfirmed jobs from the report.
Only Select this to generate the report for unconfirmed jobs only.
Completed jobs
Field Description
Include Select this to include completed jobs in the report.
Exclude Select this to exclude completed jobs from the report.
Only Select this to generate the report for completed jobs only.

Selection criteria

Field Description
Job selection Indicate the job(s) for which you want to generate the report.
Job classification selection Indicate the job class(es) for which you want to include jobs in the report.
Customer selection Indicate the customer(s) for which you want to include jobs in the report.
Job delivery date selection Indicate the job delivery date(s) for which you want to include jobs in the report.
Job completion date selection Indicate the job completion date(s) for which you want to include jobs in the report.

Output Options

These options enable you to apply a theme to the report and to define multiple output destinations for the report once it has been compiled (SRS Output Options).

Report Details

The aggregate of the costs for jobs range across revenue, cost of sales, and the resulting margin. Subtotals occur per head and again per job. A grand total is printed at the end, summarising all the costs for the range of jobs requested.

When changing a job, only the job number and description is printed.

When a new contract is printed, the complete header is printed on a new page.

A subtotal is printed for each head and job number. At the end of the report a Grand Total is printed for all contracts listed. Thereafter, the following three fields are listed:

  • Profit Taken (Total for Billing less Total Cost of Sales). This figure is taken from the contract total line.
  • Projected Profit (Total Sales less Forecast).
  • Profit Available (Projected Profit less Profit Taken).
