You use this program to capture and maintain details of salespersons required within the system.
Field | Description |
---|---|
Customer branch | Indicates the branch to which the salesperson has been assigned. |
Salesperson | Indicates the code of the salesperson you are maintaining. |
Salesperson information | |
Name | Describes the salesperson. |
Salesperson is collector | Select this if the salesperson will collect customer payments. Enabling this adds the salesperson to the list of collectors (Browse on AR Collectors). This only applies when the Collector required option is enabled (Accounts Receivable Setup). |
Commission percent | Used by the Sales Orders module if the source of commission is based on the salesperson (Sales Order Setup). |
This year's budgets | These fields enable you to assign the current year's monthly budgets to the salesperson. These budgets are used to measure the salesperson's performance against actual sales, as reflected on the Sales by Salesperson report. |
Period 1 - 12 | Indicates the salesperson's sales budget amount for each month of the financial year. |
Period 13 | This indicates the sales budget amount for the month 13 of your financial year (only available if your number of accounting periods per year is set to 13 (Company Maintenance). |
Total budgets | Indicates the total of the budget values entered. |
Although you can delete a salesperson who has sales in the last 13 months, this can compromise the accuracy of sales analysis figures reflected on various reports.
A salesperson cannot belong to more than one AR branch when the Collector required option is enabled (Accounts Receivable Setup).
