You use this program to manage the access level for engineering users to the various engineering statuses within a workflow.
Against each engineering user you can specify the authorities applicable to that user within the workflow (i.e. which engineering status the user can access). An engineering user that does not have access to a status can move an ECO to that status manually.
Alternatively, against each engineering status in the workflow you can specify the engineering users who must be allowed the authority to access that status. You can prevent users from creating engineering change orders by denying them the authority to access the initial engineering change order status.
You access the ECC Status Authorities program by selecting the Authorities option from the Edit menu of the Browse on Users program or the Browse on Status Codes program.
This screen is displayed when you select the Authorities option from the Edit menu of the Browse on Users program.
The ECC Status Authorities program is automatically displayed when you add a new ECC user if you selected the Preference: Take on authorities when adding user (Browse on Users).
The options enable you to specify the authorities applicable to a user within the workflow (i.e. which engineering status the user can access).
