You use this program to generate a report of the tax distribution entries created from transactions posted using the Deposits and Withdrawals and CB Permanent Entries Posting programs.
Field | Description | ||||||||||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Tax type | |||||||||||||
Both input and output | Includes transactions relating to both input and output tax. | ||||||||||||
Input |
Only includes input tax entries on the report (i.e. Withdrawals). |
||||||||||||
Output |
Only includes output tax entries on the report (i.e. Deposits). |
||||||||||||
Report type | |||||||||||||
Detail | Generates a detailed tax report. When printing the report for the first time (i.e. not a reprint), transactions from the CSHTDD(CshTaxDistrDet) with a printed status of 0 or 3 are selected for printing. |
||||||||||||
Summary | Generates a summary tax report. When your Tax distribution method is set to Summary, only a summary report can be printed for transactions not previously printed. However, a detailed report can be generated when reprinting these transactions. When printing the report for the first time (i.e. not a reprint), transactions from the CSHTDH(CshTaxDistrHdr) with a printed status of 0 are selected for printing. |
||||||||||||
Reprint | Regenerates the tax report for transactions that have
already been printed. Prints all records in a printed status of 1 or greater. This does not affect the print statuses of the tax distribution files. |
||||||||||||
Delete tax distribution files |
Deletes detail records with a printed status of 2 or 4 and summary records with a printed status of 2 after the report has been printed in Detail. No records are deleted when reprinting the report. This option is only enabled when you select to include Both input and output tax types.
|
||||||||||||
IncludeZeroTaxAmt | Select this to include lines with a zero tax amount in the report. This only applies when generating a Detail report. |
These options enable you to apply a theme to the report and to define multiple output destinations for the report once it has been compiled (SRS Output Options).
Company totals are printed for the total transaction amount, tax amount and taxable amount columns for both the Cash Book Withdrawal Tax Report and for the Cash Book Deposit Tax Report.
Nothing is printed if your Tax distribution method is set to Not required (Cash Book Setup).
The calculated summary by tax code at the end of the Withdrawals/Deposit report and the Tax Summary on all Transactions will not be accurate if GL Distribution lines were posted as Tax only transactions in the Deposits and Withdrawals program.
The tax value on the report is calculated by applying the current tax rate against the tax code to the total taxable amount of the GL Distribution lines. These are accumulated as the report runs.
When you process Tax only transactions in the Deposits and Withdrawals program, the taxable value of the line is zero and the tax value is whatever value you enter in the Amount column. The tax value is not a calculated value based on the tax code. This means it is possible for the summary that is printed on the tax report not to balance back to the actual tax values entered.
This also applies to the GL Global Tax Report.
