Operator Amendment Journal

You use this program to view, print and purge operator amendment journals.

Operator amendment journals are automatically created from changes made to operator settings using the Operator Maintenance program.

Field Description
File  
List Select this to generate a report of operators currently defined.
Functions  
Purge Select this to delete amendment journals according to the criteria you specify.

Listview columns

Column Description
Date and Time This indicates the system date and time the operator settings were changed.
Operator This indicates the code of the operator changed, added or deleted.
Name This indicates the name of the operator changed, added or deleted.
Function

This indicates the function performed on the operator code and includes the following:

  • Operator added
  • Operator changed
  • Operator deleted

No values are displayed in the Tab Page Description, Field Description, Before Value and After Value columns for operators added or deleted.

Tab Page Description This indicates the description of the tab page of the Operators program on which the change was made.
Field Description This indicates the name of the field that was changed.
Before Value This indicates the value of the field before the change was made.
After Value This indicates the value of the field after the change was made.
Changed by This indicates the code of the operator who performed the change.
Changed by Name This indicates the name of the operator who performed the change.

Print

This screen is displayed when you select the List option from the File menu. The options enable you to indicate the report options you require when printing operator amendment journals.

Field Description
Date selection Indicate the date(s) for which you want to include amendment journals on the report.
Options  
Reprint amendment journals Select this to only list transactions previously printed.
Print additions Select this to include journals for operator codes that were added.
Print changes Select this to include journals for operator codes that were changed.
Print deletions Select this to include journals for operator codes that were deleted.
Operator selection

These options relate to the operator who was changed.

Indicate the operator(s) for whom you want to include amendment journals on the report.
Changed by operator selection These options relate to the operator who performed the change.

Indicate the operator(s) for whom you want to include amendment journals on the report.

Print Select this to generate the report according to your selections.
Cancel Select this to return to the listview without generating the report.

Purge

This screen is displayed when you select the Purge option from the Functions menu. The options enable you to indicate the conditions under which you want to purge amendment journals.

Field Description
Delete amendment journals dated before

Indicate the cut-off date according to which you want to delete journals.

All journals dated before the date you enter at this field are deleted when you select the Start Purge function.

Delete amendment journals if not yet printed Select this to delete journals regardless of whether they have been printed.
Start Purge Select this to start the purge process.
Cancel Select this to return to the listview without purging any journals.

Notes and warnings

Restrictions and limits

  • Operator amendment journals are generated automatically and no option exists to prevent them from being created.

Purge operator amendment journals

  1. From the Operator Amendment Journal program, select the Purge option from the Functions menu.

  2. Indicate the purge options you require.

  3. Select the Start Purge function to delete the journals according to your selections.
