You use this program to navigate the SYSPRO interface using customized menus. These menus can include links to SYSPRO programs, SYSPRO customized reports, Net Express programs, SRS reports and other applications.
If you are allowed to design menus, then you can create your own personal menus using this program. Alternatively, if you do not have access to the toolbar, you can still use menus that were created by the system administrator using the Design Menus program.
This program also includes functions to view a calendar and a list of recently accessed programs.

This pane retains a list of the last 20 programs you have used. You can configure the number of items you want to list in the pane using the Personalize program ( -> -> ). You can clear the list by right-clicking in the pane and selecting the Clear List option from the context menu displayed.
You can drag-and-drop programs from this pane onto the Favorites pane.
This displays as many months as will fit in the available space, starting with the current month.
You can personalize the calendar using the Personalize program ( -> -> ).

If you have upgraded from an earlier version of SYSPRO, then the MyMenu functionality appears on the Navigation Pane as an operator menu labelled: MyMenu.
Any program that an operator cannot run from the main Program List is also restricted in the Navigation Pane. Similarly, any field that an operator is prevented from seeing in a program when run from the normal SYSPRO menu is also restricted here.
You cannot email the export file if you have not enabled the Fax/mail integration required setup option (Operator Maintenance).
Operator access to the following activities within this program can be restricted. You configure this using the Operator Maintenance program.

Enabling an operator to design menus
This enables you to allow an operator to design menus that can be deployed system-wide, company-wide, by role or by group. This functionality is typically reserved for System Administrators.
Open the Operators program .
Highlight the operator you want to maintain and select Change from the Edit menu.
From the Security tab, select the Edit function at the Configure Activities field.
The Edit function is enabled only if you chose List at the Selection field.
Navigate to the Customization section and enable the option: Main Menu - Allow to design menus.
Creating a new menu in the navigation pane
You will be unable to use this function if the operator activity: Main Menu - Allow to design menus is not enabled for your operator code.
This enables you to construct your own menu of SYSPRO programs, SYSPRO customized reports, NetExpress programs, SRS reports and other applications.
From the Navigation Pane toolbar, select the Create a new personal menu in the Navigation Pane icon.
At the Caption field, enter a title for your menu.
Indicate the style of menu you want to create (i.e. task panel or list view).
A task panel style menu enables you to navigate to other menus or open flow graphs from within your menu, as well as launch applications.
A list view style menu enables you to launch applications from within your menu.
Optionally assign an icon to your menu.
Select OK to create the menu shell in the Navigation Pane.
You are now ready to assign programs and applications.
Creating a list view style menu
This creates a menu that launches programs, reports and applications. For additional functionality, like navigating to other menus or opening flow graphs, you need to create a task panel style menu.
In the Navigation Pane, open a menu that has been defined as a list view style menu.
Right-click the menu caption and select New Application.
This launches the Add New Shortcut Wizard that will guide you through the process of adding your shortcut.
Creating a task panel style menu
This creates a menu that can navigate to other menus, open flow graphs, or launch programs, reports and applications.
In the Navigation Pane, open a menu that has been defined as a task panel style menu.
Right-click the menu caption and select New .
Indicate the type of tile you want to create for this menu.
A Program Tile launches programs, reports and applications.
A Menu Tile navigates to other menus, or opens flow graphs.
A Blank Tile creates a placeholder to which you can assign an action at a later stage.
Exporting a menu
This exports menus you have created for deployment to other operators in your organization. This is useful when deploying the same or similar menus to a number of operators in the organization.
Select the Export icon from the Navigation Pane toolbar.
The Export Menus window is displayed with a list of menus available for export.
Highlight the menu(s) you want to export and select the Export icon from the toolbar.
The exported menu(s) are now ready to be imported by other operators within your organization.
Importing a menu
This retrieves menus that have already been created and exported. This is useful when deploying the same or similar menus to a number of operators in the organization.
Select the Import icon from the Navigation Pane toolbar.
Locate the menu file you want to import and select Open.
The Import Menus window is displayed with a list of menus that are available for import.
Highlight the menu(s) you want to import and select the Import icon from the toolbar.
The imported menu(s) are displayed in your Navigation Pane.
Adding menu categories
This organizes your list view and tile menus in the Navigation Pane, and your tiles in the Favorites.

For list view style menus in the Navigation Pane, categories help you to create a menu hierarchy.
Open a menu in the Navigation Pane or a tile in the Favorites.
Right-click the menu caption and select New and then Category.
Enter a description for the category.
You are now ready to arrange your menu items as required.
Changing the properties of a category
This changes the properties of a category in the Navigation Pane or Favorites. Changes range from entering text for the category title and assigning tooltip text that must be displayed when you hover over the category.
From within the Navigation Pane or Favorites, right-click a category header and select Properties from the shortcut menu.
Enter your preferred Title and Tooltip text from the submenu.
Changing the appearance of a category
This changes the visual styling of your menus in the Navigation Pane and Favorites. Options range from assigning an icon, changing the XAML theme and applying a color.
From within the Navigation Pane or Favorites, right-click a category header and select Appearance from the shortcut menu.
Select your preferred Icon and Style from the submenu.
A live preview of the changed style is displayed as you move over the gallery items.
Adding program tiles
This enables you to add shortcuts to programs, reports or applications in the Navigation Pane and Favorites.

Right-click in the Navigation Pane or Favorites.
Highlight New from the shortcut menu and select Program Tile.
This will launch the Add New Shortcut Wizard that will guide you through the process of adding your shortcut.

From within the Navigation Pane or Favorites, right-click a program tile and select Properties from the shortcut menu.
Choose and configure the property you want to change.
