LCT Route Maintenance

You use this program to maintain the different routes that you can use to ship items from your supplier to your warehouse when using the Landed Cost Tracking system.

In addition to identifying the different shipping methods, the route code also determines the expected date of arrival of a shipment based on the estimated time of arrival (ETA) days.

Field Description
New Select this to add a new LCT route.
Delete

Select this to delete the LCT route currently displayed.

From the message displayed, select OK to use the LCT Where-used Route program to view the list of stock items against which the route is used. The stock code and description are displayed.

LCT Route Indicate the LCT route code you want to add or update.

LCT Route Maintenance

Field Description
LCT route

This indicates the code that represents the route you are adding or maintaining.

Description This indicates a description of the route (e.g. Rotterdam to New York by sea).
Days before eta

This indicates the number of days it takes the vessel to reach port after leaving the destination port.

Eta is an acronym for Estimated Time of Arrival.

Days for demurrage This indicates the number of days required to offload the cargo and organize customs and excise documentation.
Days after demurrage This indicates the number of days it takes to arrive at the final destination after being offloaded.

Notes and warnings

Deletion considerations

  • You cannot delete a route that is being used in a Bill of Landed Costs (Bill of Landed Costs).

    If you selected to delete a route which is attached to a bill of landed costs, then a message is displayed that enables you to view where the route is used.

Inserting Application Help

You would typically follow this procedure to display help for the current program in a customized pane that can be pinned to the program window.

Information includes step-by-step instructions for the various functions available within the program, including a brief overview of what the program does, what setup options are required and how to personalize the program.

  1. Open the program for which you want to insert application help into a customized pane.

    This functionality is only available for a program that has panes.

  2. Right-click any form field.

    You can also click the triangle menu icon that appears in the title area of a pane.

  3. Select Insert Application Help from the context-sensitive menu.

    The application help appears in a pane within your program. You can reposition the pane using the docking stickers or pin it to the program window.

Removing the Application Help pane

If you no longer want to display application help in a pane for your current program, you can simply remove it.

  1. Select the Close icon in the right-hand corner of the application help pane.

  2. Confirm that you want to delete the pane.
