Setup programs are used to define master data in SYSPRO.
They can be accessed from the Setup folders within the various SYSPRO modules in the Program List.
There is usually a Browse program for each Setup program listed in the Browse sub folders in the Program List. In this case, the corresponding Setup program can be accessed from within the Browse program. In a few cases, the Browse and Setup programs are combined into a single program.
Setup programs can be secured per operator group (see Security Access). In addition, if you selected the setup option: Job logging required (Company Maintenance), then you can select the Job logging required option against Setup programs. This enables you to track changes made to master data using the Job Logging Query program.
A report of changes made to the key items listed below can be tracked using Amendment Journals. You indicate that amendment journals are required in the corresponding module setup programs.
