Trade Promotions Sub-accounts

You use the Trade Promotions Sub-accounts program to establish a master and sub-account relationship between Trade Promotions customers and SYSPRO customers specifically for Trade Promotions credit checking purposes.

Credit checking in Trade Promotions is only applied if the option: Apply credit checking is selected (Trade Promotion Setup - General tab).

Trade Promotions Sub-accounts

Detach Sub Account Select this detach the sub-account customer currently highlighted in the TP Sub-accounts listview from the master account.
Attach Sub Account Select this to attach a sub-account customer to the master account.
Account Type  
SYSPRO Customer Select this if the master account is a SYSPRO customer (see Browse on Customers).
TP Customer Select this if the master account is a Trade Promotions customer (see Browse on Trade Promotions Account).
Attach Sub Account Select this to attach a sub-account customer to the master account.
Detach Sub Account Select this detach the sub-account customer currently highlighted in the TP Sub-accounts listview from the master account.
Master Account Number You use this field to indicate the master customer to which sub-account customers are to be attached (or from which sub-account customers are to be detached).

Once you have entered and accepted a master account code, the sub-accounts currently attached to that master account are displayed.

Attach Sub-account

You use the Attach Sub Account option to attach a sub-account customer to a master account customer.

Field Description
Account type  
SYSPRO customer Select this if you want to attach a SYSPRO customer as a sub-account.
TP account Select this if you want to attach a Trade Promotions customer as a sub-account.
Sub account number You use this field to enter the customer code that must be linked to this master account as a sub-account.
[Note]
  • A sub-account customer cannot be attached to more than one master account customer.
  • If the sub-account is a SYSPRO customer, then it must be defined as a trade promotions customer (AR Customer Maintenance)

TP Sub-accounts

The customers attached to the currently selected master account are displayed in this listview. Sub-accounts are added each time you selected the Attach Sub Account option and they are removed when you select the Detach Sub Account option.

Column Description
Sub account This indicates the customer code of the sub-account.
Name This indicates the name of the sub-account customer.
Type This indicates whether the sub-account customer is a SYSPRO or a Trade Promotions customer.

Application Help Pane

Application Help Panes provide step-by-step instructions for various functions within the program, including a brief overview of what the program does, what setup options are required and how to personalize the program. The intention is that the pane provides information that is uncluttered and easy to navigate.

You can embed an Application Help Pane:

  • in the main SYSPRO menu

  • in any program with panes, if not using roles

  • when adding a role layout in Design Mode.

Inserting Application Help

You would typically follow this procedure to display help for the current program in a customized pane that can be pinned to the program window.

Information includes step-by-step instructions for the various functions available within the program, including a brief overview of what the program does, what setup options are required and how to personalize the program.

  1. Open the program for which you want to insert application help into a customized pane.

    This functionality is only available for a program that has panes.

  2. Right-click any form field.

    You can also click the triangle menu icon that appears in the title area of a pane.

  3. Select Insert Application Help from the context-sensitive menu.

    The application help appears in a pane within your program. You can reposition the pane using the docking stickers or pin it to the program window.

Removing the Application Help pane

If you no longer want to display application help in a pane for your current program, you can simply remove it.

  1. Select the Close icon in the right-hand corner of the application help pane.

  2. Confirm that you want to delete the pane.
