Product Group Maintenance

You use this program to create and maintain trade promotion product groups.

Product groups provide a facility to group items together in a more specific or general manner than product classes. TPM product groups enable you to group products (items) with similar characteristics together, irrespective of the product class to which these items belong.

Product groups can be used for both pricing and promotion purposes. They can be used to define promotions in the Browse on Promotion Code program, when configuring the pricing of items using the Browse on Prices program and for price calculations when using the Sales Order Entry program.

You use the Product group field on the Trade Promotions Pricing tab of the Stock Code Maintenance program to link an individual stock item to a TPM product group.
