You use this program to set up classifications for the different types of jobs that you typically process. This enables you to group or arrange your jobs according to similar characteristics (e.g. STD - Standard Jobs; RWK - Rework; URG - Urgently required).
The job class can be used in a number of ways within SYSPRO:
you can number your jobs according to the job classification assigned to the job.
you can assign a default job classification to your stock items so that any job created for an item is assigned the relevant job class.
once assigned to a job, the job classification can be used as a selection criterion when printing various reports.
The Browse on Job Classification listview displays details of job classifications currently defined.
You use the List of Job Classes program to print a report of job classifications held on file.
