Asset Labor Time Sheet Posting

You use the Asset Labor Time Sheet Posting program to post labor hours against your assets. These entries are posted to a labor transaction file from which various analysis reports can be generated.

You would typically use the Asset Labor Time Sheet Posting program to comply with the provisions of Paragraphs 12 through 14 of IAS 16, which deal with subsequent costs incurred for assets. Paragraph 12 requires that the costs of servicing assets should be recorded in the profit and loss as they are incurred and not against the assets themselves. For this purpose, SYSPRO enables you to record labor postings.

[Note]
  • Entries made within this program are not posted to the General Ledger.
  • Entries made within this program do not update the cost of assets
  • The asset transactions file/table is updated only when you select the Labor weekly update function from the Assets Period End program or perform a Month end or year end function (Assets Period End).
