You use this program to view a list of General Ledger journals created using the GL Journal Entry program.
You can access this program by selecting the browse icon from the GL Journal field of the GL Journal Entry program.
| Field | Description |

| Zoom (icon) | Select this to view the journal header information (see GL Journal Zoom) |
| Notes | Select this to use the Notepad Editor program to view or attach free format comments to the journal currently highlighted in the listview. |
| Year | Indicate the financial year for which you want to display journals. |
| Period | Indicate the period(s), within the financial year
indicated, for which you want to display journals. You can select to display all journals for the selected year, a range of periods or a single period. |
| From period | Indicate the first period in a range of periods for
which you want to display journals. If you selected Single at the Period field, then you use this field to indicate the single period which you want to display journals. This field is not enabled when you select All at the Period field. |
| To period | Indicate the last period in a range of periods for
which you want to display journals. This field is only enabled when you select Range at the Period field. |
| Include | Indicate the journals you want to display in the
listview. Unposted journals are displayed by default. |
| Posted | Select this to display posted journals in the listview. |
| Cancelled | Select this to display cancelled journals in the listview. |
| On hold | Select this to display journals which are on hold in the listview. |
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Journal | This indicates the journal number. |
| Date | This indicates the date of the journal. |
| Status | This indicates the current status of the journal. |
| Printed | This indicates whether the journal has been printed. |
| Authorized | This indicates whether the journal has been authorized. |
Only the journals which you captured are displayed if the setup option: Limit view to capturer is selected (General Ledger Setup - Journals tab). This does not apply when the GL Browse on Normal Journals program is run from the GL Period End program.
