structure information. This only applies when Alternate routings required is enabled (Bill of Materials Setup). |
|

The following message is displayed when you enter a stock code which is defined as a co-product (Stock Code Maintenance) and is attached to the bill of materials via a notional part (BOM Co-products):
"The stock code entered is a co-product. Do you wish to view the components for the notional part?"
If you select OK, then the components linked to the notional part are displayed.
If you select Cancel, then you can enter a new stock code.
The following information is included in this pane:
Column | Description |
---|---|
Stock code |
The following options can be accessed from this field by typically using your left mouse button:
|
Economic batch quantity | This indicates the economic batch quantity configured for the parent code (see Stock Code Maintenance). |
Pan or container size | This indicates the pan size configured for the parent code. |
Revison/Release |
This indicates the current revision and release of the parent code by default. A revision and release is displayed here only if the parent code is ECC-controlled (Stock Code Maintenance - Tracking). You can select this field to load the ECC History listview and select a different revision/release for which you want to display the structure. |
ECC status | This indicates the current Engineering Change Control
status of an ECC controlled parent
item. Maintaining ECC structure - indicates that an ECO is currently active for the parent part. Existing ECC structure - indicates that the parent part is not currently in an active ECO. |
The following information is included in this pane:
Parent uom
This indicates the stocking unit of measure of the parent code.
The following information is included in this listview:
Column | Description |

Quantity per | This indicates the quantity per of the component in the structure. |
Warehouse to use |
If a warehouse to use is defined in the BOM (Structures and Routings), then that warehouse is displayed. The following information is included in this listview:

Enabling the option: Allow cosmetic changes (Bill of Materials Setup) determines whether you are prompted to change the revision/release of affected items.
If you select to change the release, then the BOM is updated without changing the revision.
For automatic control, components added and deleted are considered significant changes, as are changes to the following fields:
Revision (Component)
Release (Component)
Unit of Measure
Quantity per
Fixed quantity flag
Parent per fixed quantity
Structure on date
Structure off date
Include from job number
Include to job number
Scrap percentage
Scrap quantity
Warehouse to use
If a structure or routing is not found when checking for cosmetic changes, the item is assumed to be a component and its revision/release is changed.
When saving cosmetic changes for an affected parent item, if a component against the BOM of the parent is also an affected item, then this component revision/release is not applied to the parent, as this constitutes a major change. This applies even if the component revision/release is changed at the time of applying BOM changes.
