Upload Files to the Server

You use this program to upload a variety of files/components from a client machine to the server.

Toolbar options

Field Description
Upload Files Copies the files listed in the Files pane from your client machine to the application server.

A copy is made of each file that is about to be overwritten and saved to a backup folder beneath the target application server folder.

An entry is made in the system audit log file for each file that is uploaded to the server (for tracking purposes). The system audit log can be viewed using the program System Audit log.

File Name

Field Description
File name to upload Enter the name of the file you want to upload.
Type of file Indicate the file type of the file to be uploaded.

The type of file selected determines the location to which the file will be copied on the application server.

.NET User controls This must reside in the folder: \Base\ManagedAssemblies.
Port files This must reside in the folder: \Base\Upgrade.

This folder stores any SYSPRO port files (typically zipped executable files).

Customized executive dashboard This must reside in the folder: \Base\ExecCustomized.
Customized associated pane This must reside in the folder: \Base\Samples.
Skin framework file This must reside in the folder: \Base\SkinFramework.
Import file These must reside in the folder: \Base\Imports.

This is useful for users to upload import files to the application server to a specific folder. The operator can then run the relevant SYSPRO import program and browse to the server-side folder.

Customized IMP files The CUSVBC.IMP file (list of customized associated panes) must reside in the customized programs folder (typically \Base\CUSPROGS).
XAML theme This must reside in the folder: \Base\Samples.

Operator access to the following activities within this program can be restricted. You configure this using the Operator Maintenance program.
