You use this program to view and manipulate the hierarchy of roles for your organization.
The program provides a visual representation of the role hierarchy. It is not part of the security model (i.e. there is no inheritance of permissions, etc.), and is purely used for documentary purposes.
This organogram can be accessed from the Roles pane of the Operator Maintenance program as well as the Import Roles and Export Roles programs.
Field | Description |

Save | Saves the details you entered or changed. |
Save and Close | Saves the details you entered or changed and closes the window. |
Notepad | Loads the Notepad Editor program to assign free format text to the currently highlighted role. |
This pane displays the roles not yet added to the organogram.
Field | Description |

Assign Selected | Adds the currently highlighted role(s) to the
organogram. You can use the CTRL and SHIFT keys together with your mouse pointer to highlight the items you want to assign. The items are added to the bottom of the organogram. You use the arrow icons to reposition each role on the organogram. |
Assign All | Add all the roles from the Available Roles pane to the Role Organogram pane. |
Role description | Indicates the description assigned to the role (see Role Management) |
This pane displays an organogram of your organization in a tree view format.
Field | Description |

Remove Selected | Removes the currently highlighted role(s) from the
organogram and positions then in the Available
Roles pane. You can use the CTRL and SHIFT keys together with your mouse pointer to selectively highlight the items you want to remove. |
Remove All | Removes all the roles from the organogram and positions them in the Available Roles pane. |
Up/Down icon | Moves the currently highlighted role up or down one line in the organogram. |
Left arrow/Right arrow | Moves the currently highlighted role(s) up or down to
the next indent level of the organogram. Multiple lines can be moved at a time provided they are adjacent to each other. |
