You use the eSignature Purge program to remove audit log entries held on file, based on the age of the entries.
You typically use this program to reduce the number of entries in the log file/table because this log file can consume excessive disk space after you have used the Electronic Signatures system for some time.

All audit log information | Select this to delete the log entries which can be
viewed in the listview of the eSignature Query
program. Each log entry (summary an detail) is deleted if it is older than the number of months or years specified at the Delete log records older than option. |
Detail log only | Select this to delete the log details displayed in the
eSignature Query program for each log entry selected
for deletion. The summary entries which can be viewed in the
eSignature Query listview are retained. Each detail entry is deleted if it is older than the number of months or years specified at the Delete log records older than option. |
Delete log records older than | This indicates the number of months or years according
to which audit log entries must be purged. An entry is purged if it is older than the number of months or years specified here. This defaults to your selection at the option: Purge log records older than (Electronic Signatures) but can be changed if the option: Allow run time selection is selected (Electronic Signatures). |
Start Purge | Select this to delete the entries from the audit log
file/table according to your selections. You are prompted to confirm your selection. |
Close | Select this to exit the program without deleting any log entries. |
It is advisable to take a backup of your data before running this program.
You cannot access this program if you did not select to purge log entries (Electronic Signatures - Global Configuration - Purge Options).
