Cost Analysis for Stock Code

You use this program to view costs for a stock item in a specific unit of measure.

Cost Analysis Section

Field Description
BOM Costs Select this to use the Costing Query program to view the accumulated material and operation costs for the parent part against which a Bill of Materials is defined.
Refresh Costs Redisplay the values in the Costs pane according to changes made to the Options selected.
Autoload Values These options enable you to indicate how you want to save the selections made in this pane.

You can choose to set all selections as they were when you last ran the program (i.e. Load Previous Form Values) or save your selections in the pane as your default preferences for all companies, or for the current company only (i.e. Save Form Values as Default or Save Form Values for this Company).

If you have saved form values for the company or as the default, then you can remove these settings and restore them to the form's default preference selections.

Options When you change these options, you need to use the Refresh Costs option to refresh the values in the Costs pane.
Stock code Indicates the stock code for which costs are displayed.
Stock code description Indicates the description of the Stock code.
Warehouse Indicate the warehouse for which you want to display costs.
Warehouse Indicates the description of the selected warehouse.
Cumulative costs selection Cumulative costs can be viewed by value, percentage markup, or percent profit margin.
Show costs per Indicate the unit of measure in which you want to display the costs.

Costs

The costs for the Options selected are displayed in this pane.

The costs for Mass are derived by dividing the unit mass by the appropriate cost in Stocking unit of measure. All other costs are calculated using the appropriate Inventory master unit of measure conversion factor according to the Show costs per option selected.

Costs are taken from the INVWIF file which was updated the last time a what-if costing was imploded (Cost Implosion).

  • This program is displayed then you select the Cost Analysis option form the Query menu of the Inventory Query program.
