Requirements Planning > Manual Scheduling > Supply Date Reinstatement

Supply Date Reinstatement

You use this program to selectively restore the original dates of purchase orders, requisitions and jobs in the snapshot, where the Requirements Calculation has suggested dates that are impractical to implement (usually where the dates have been moved in).

In addition, this program ensures that no suggested requisitions have unattainable due dates.

Toolbar and menu

Field Description
Start Processing

Select this function to make changes to the purchase orders and/or requisitions.

If the due date of an item is a non-working day, then the due date is set to the next working day (i.e. the program does not re-instate supply dates on non-working days). This applies to purchase orders, requisitions and suggested requisitions.

  • For suggested purchase orders, the program changes the due date to:

Today + Lead time + Dock to stock

  • For existing purchase orders, where the original due date falls after Today + Lead time + Dock to stock, the program changes the suggested due date to:

Today + Lead time + Dock to stock

  • For existing purchase orders, if the original due date falls between today (excluding today) and Today + Lead time, then the program reinstates the original purchase order due date as the suggested due date.
  • For existing purchase orders where the original due date falls before today, then the suggested due date is today.
