You use the Asset Locations program to maintain asset locations.
Locations are used to identify the physical place in which an asset resides. For example Room 113, Reception, Factory floor, etc.
A location must be defined against each asset (Assets).
The Browse on Asset Locations listview displays the asset location codes currently defined.

Asset location | This indicates the asset location code you are currently maintaining.
Description | This is used to describe the location code entered in the previous field.
In count | This is automatically selected when you use the Asset Count Extract-Cancel program to extract a count for this location.
It indicates that the location was included in an asset count
extract. You can manually select this option if you want to be able to transfer assets between locations using the Asset Count Confirm program. You can only transfer assets between locations, if this option is selected against both locations and you selected the option: Allow change of location (Asset Count Confirm). If this option is not selected, then it indicates that the location is not currently part of an asset count process. |
|||||
Verification required | This option is only enabled when the In count
option is selected. Select this if you want to capture both a count quantity and a verification quantity when you capture the count quantities for the assets in this location. You typically select this option if you intend to have a counter and a verifier to count the assets for the location. Do not select this if you want to only capture a count quantity when you capture the count quantities for the assets.
