You use this program to identify differences between the standard bill of materials cost (i.e. material, labor, and overheads) and the current Inventory cost of stock items currently defined.
Field | Description |
---|---|
Costing by warehouse | This option is only enabled if you selected the setup option: Apply warehouse BOM costs (Inventory Setup - General tab). |
Use BOM costs from warehouse | Select this to compare the standard bill of materials cost and the current BOM costs defined against the warehouse (Warehouses for Stock Code) and not the BOM costs defined against the stock code (Stock Code Maintenance). |
Field | Description | ||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Stock code selection | Indicate a selective range of stock code(s) according to which you want to print the report. | ||||
Warehouse selection |
Indicate a selective range of warehouse(s) according to which you want to select stock items for printing on the report.
|
||||
Percentage variance selection |
Indicate the variance percentage(s) according to which you want to select stock items for printing on the report. This is the percentage variance between the standard bill of materials cost and the inventory cost. |
These options enable you to apply a theme to the report and to define multiple output destinations for the report once it has been compiled (SRS Output Options).
You typically use the BOM-Inventory Cost Comparison report before using the Transfer BOM Costs to Wh Costs program, to determine the effects of updating inventory costs with BOM costs.
If the option: Warn about cost implosion not being completed is enabled (Bill of Materials Setup - General), then the message: BOM costs may be incorrect due to last implosion run. OK to continue? is displayed if the Cost Implosion was not run for all stock codes and warehouses. This merely indicates that the costs of the excluded items may not be correct.
